No I did not fall off the face of the Earth...

Yeah, I know-I know. Good job starting a blog, making three posts and then ignoring it for a month. Sorry.
I know it is not much of an excuse but, I was busy making the sample item and writing up the pattern for something that will be published later this year (can't talk about it yet, but I will let you all know when I can). Then I was making the swatches, blocking them and writing up the proposal for a new submission. These things happen on tight schedules, so less critical things can fall by the wayside (like blogging...).
I have been keeping to my self imposed schedule for making blanket squares. I am almost half way done with the squares now! Not only that I have enough of the squares blocked that I have started to put together the center of the blanket. Real progress!
Unfortunately, another project I need to get done soon has been languishing recently. I really need to pick it back up again. I am hoping to get some work done on it on the ride down to Stitches West on Saturday.
Yes! I am going to stitches! Yay! I won't be able to buy much as my budget has gotten very tight lately. But my friends and I will sure have fun looking at (and fondling!) all the pretty yarn in the marketplace.
I will report back to you about all the lovelies!

I should go now (I'm supposed to be working).
